Many Different Fabrics Cleaning upholstery is not like cleaning 3-D carpet, although it may seem like it on the surface. Actually, there are many different fibers, many different methods of construction, and many different mistakes that can be made by the untrained. We know that good interior decorators don't always use fabrics that can be wet cleaned. So, our training exposes our technicians to some of the finer things in life, like Jacquard fabrics, Damask, Axminster, Brocades, Silk, Velvet weaves, and more. Most cleaners won't even try to understand these fabrics. But if it can be cleaned, we can clean it. Even if the fabric is delicate and exotic, and the color is not stable. Our extraordinary expertise allows us to handle items which are ornate, with expensive finishes, even with exposed woods or other materials. Many Different Weaves Designs are often woven into a piece of fabric, and colored threads "hide" on the inside of a panel, only coming through to show where they are wanted. Not only are these threads of a different color, but they can also be of a different fabric, or even colored with a different kind of dye. Great care will result in a superior clean, lack of knowledge can result in browning, bleeding, or even shrinkage of just a few threads that would bunch up a whole pattern. Many Different Skills We begin by determining exactly what your fabrics are made of. Some furnishings have a tag with a cleaning code on it (W; S; W/S; or X) but unfortunately not all. We can usually tell from experience, but all of our tech's are trained in a burn test, which is a definitive test that tells us exactly what we need to know. Cleaning methods are then decided to match the needs of the piece. We will then clean using the proper balance of cleaning solution and suction, leaving a clean that is difficult to rival, and impossible to beat. The beauty of our method is that not only does it leave your things wonderfully clean, but most of them are dry before we leave!
